Never go on an investigation alone. Use the buddy system. Teaming with someone will increase your safety, and also provide a witness to any evidence you gather or experience you may encounter.
CPAPS members will remain professional at all times and are bound by confidentiality agreements.
CPAPS members will always be prepared for investigations by carrying proper id, checking batteries, and carrying spares.
All members will understand and know how to properly use equipment
There will be no whispering during an EVP session. This can cause contamination or false EVPs
Smoking tobacco in any for during an investigation is prohibited. Smoke can easily lead to photo anomalies that can be mistaken for paranormal activity. Drinking alcohol or using any type of drug is prohibited.
No perfumes, cologne or any other scented products may be used on you person before and during an investigation
CPAPS members will always obtain permission for the appropriate property owner or trustee to investigate a site before entering anyone’s property. If a member is caught trespassing they will be removed from the group.
These are just written rules. There are more that we are bound to that are more common sense. Breaking the rules may result in dismissal from the group.
